I have reset my device. How do I reinstall Bitdefender on the same device? »
If you are forced by circumstances to format or reset your operating system and then reinstall Bitdefender on the same device, it will not count as a second device from a license point of view.
The only extra step you should do before reinstalling Bitdefender on the same device with a fresh operating system is to sign in to your Central at https://central.bitdefender.com , click on My Devices from the left menu, click on your old device, then choose Remove on the upper right side of the page. This will free up the used slot, so you can reinstall Bitdefender without affecting the number of active devices. I have multiple devices. How do I install Bitdefender on another device? »
Bitdefender subscriptions come with a limited number of slots to protect either Windows PCs, Macs, smartphones & tablets running Android, iOS, or all of these operating systems. If the subscription you have purchased covers more than one device, you can use your Central account to install Bitdefender on other devices.
There are two ways to protect another device.
A. If Bitdefender is already installed on a Windows computer
To protect another device, when a Bitdefender product is already installed on one of your Windows PCs:
1. Bring up the main interface and click Install Bitdefender on a new device at the bottom.
2. Send the download link that appears on the screen to the device you want to protect.
• to share it in an instant message choose Copy download link
• choose Share download link to send it via email
3. Access the link on the device you want to protect. Choose DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL.
4. On Windows or Mac the installation kit will be downloaded on your new device. Run it to begin the installation. On Android or iOS, you will be taken to Google Play, respectively App Store to download and install the Bitdefender app.

B. If Bitdefender isn’t already installed on a Windows computer
To protect another device, log in to your Central account, go to My Devices, and start installing the Bitdefender solution. Step-by-step instructions are available below:
1. Log in to your Central account.
2. Select the My Devices panel.
3. In the My Devices panel, click + Install Bitdefender products on your devices.
4. A new window will pop-up. Choose the product you want to install, then select one of the two available actions:
• This device (5a)
• Other devices (5b)
5a. This device

5b. Other devices
If you wish to protect a different device choose Other devices. This will send a download link to another device. You have two options:
• Email link – Enter a valid email address in the corresponding field, then click SEND. The download link will be emailed to any of your devices to install the Bitdefender product.
• Copy link – Copy to clipboard the download link and share it in a direct message.
6. Open the link on the device you want to protect. Click DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL and follow the on-screen steps to install Bitdefender.
NOTE: The download link is available for 24 hours. If the link expires, you can generate a new one by repeating the above procedure.
