How to renew and upgrade a current F-Secure Internet Security subscription to F-Secure SAFE

This topic explains how to upgrade from F-Secure Internet Security to F-Secure SAFE.

If you are currently using F-Secure Internet Security and need to renew your subscription, we recommend that you upgrade Internet Security to F-Secure SAFE. With SAFE, you can protect all your devices, not just your Windows PC computer.

Note: We recommend that you upgrade the current subscription to SAFE as close to the expiration date as possible. As F-Secure SAFE is a different product, the remaining days on your current Internet Security subscription cannot be transferred to the new SAFE subscription.

To move from F-Secure Internet Security to F-Secure SAFE:

    1. When it’s time to renew your subscription, select the F-Secure SAFE buy option either in the email that you have received or on the product web page.
    2. Go through the purchase process until you are asked to create a My F-Secure account. F-Secure SAFE subscriptions are accessed through the My F-Secure service.
    3. Once your purchase is complete, select Create an account for My F-Secure. The account creation page is displayed.

      Note: You can also create the account via the link in the order confirmation email.

    4. Create a My F-Secure account:
        1. Fill in your name and email address in the relevant fields.

      Make sure you enter your email address correctly, as it will be used as part of your login credentials.

        1. Create a password.
        2. Tick the Send me the latest news, tips, and special offers box, if unticked, to receive updates from F-Secure.
        3. Select Accept and create account.

      You are redirected to the My F-Secure main page.

        1. Check your email inbox:
          • In the Please confirm your email address email, click on Confirm to ensure you receive updates from F-Secure; and,
          • In the Activate your F-Secure account now email, click on the link to confirm your email address for your account.

      Your account is confirmed and created.

      Note: Make sure that you enter your account password correctly. To check there are no typos in your password, tick Show password.

    5. As F-Secure SAFE is a separate product, download and install the product on your computer.

During the installation, F-Secure Internet Security is replaced by F-Secure SAFE.

Start your protection by clicking Add device and follow the instructions shown on the screen.
