Know how to add or remove files, folders, and programs to the Scan Exception List of your Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac using the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.


Add items to the Exception List

  1. Open the Diagnostic Toolkit of your Trend Micro Security software.
    1. Open Spotlight search box.Spotlight Search
    2. Type “Trend Micro”, then select Trend Micro Antivirus Diagnostic Toolkit.Select Trend Micro Antivirus Diagnostic Toolkit
  2. Click the Exception button, then the Manage Exception List button.Select Manage Exception List
  3. Type your administrator password, then click OK.Type the administrator password
  4. Click the “+” sign.Add to exception list
  5. Select the items you want to include on the Exception List, then click the Add button.
  6. Click the Apply button to save changes.

Remove items from the Exception List

  1. Open the Diagnostic Toolkit of your Trend Micro Security software.

    2. Type “Trend Micro”, then select Trend Micro Antivirus Diagnostic Toolkit.Select Trend Micro Antivirus Diagnostic Toolkit
  2. Click the Exception button, then the Manage Exception Listbutton.Select Manage Exception List

  4. Select the item to be removed from the list, then click the “” sign.Remove from Exception List
  5. Click the Apply button to save changes.
