Host file has been modified-System Monitor alerts (K7 computing)

Scenario: You may get a continuous popup from K7 stating that Host file has modified. This happens when unwanted extensions/toolbar modifies HOST file.

Steps to follow:

  1. Do the complete scan by K7.
  2. Remove Unknown/unwanted extension from the browser.
  3. Reset the browser setting and delete the cache/cookies.
  4. Check the Host entry and replace it with this under below location. C:windowssystem32driversetc
  5. Remove the unwanted application from the control panel.
  6. Reset the internet properties.
