Installing ID PROTECTION on iPhone and iPad (F-Secure)

This topic describes how to install F-Secure ID PROTECTION on your iOS devices if you have an F-Secure TOTAL subscription.

With F-Secure TOTAL, the number of ID PROTECTION licenses and monitored items is determined by your TOTAL subscription. For example, if you have a 5-device subscription, you can have ID PROTECTION on five devices with up to 10 email addresses monitored.

Tip: With the TOTAL subscription, you can also install and access F-Secure ID PROTECTION directly from the F-Secure SAFE app. For more information, see Accessing ID PROTECTION from SAFE.

Before you start to install ID PROTECTION on your iPhone or iPad, make sure you have the My F-Secure account ready.

    1. On your device, log in to your My F-Secure account.
    2. Once you are logged in, tap the main menu in the top-right corner of the My F-Secure page. The TOTAL apps page opens showing all the TOTAL apps available to you. Through this page you can also access your subscription details and account settings.
    3. Select ID PROTECTION.
    4. Select Install ID PROTECTION.
    5. Select My device, and then select Continue.
    6. Select This device, and then select Install from app store.

    1. Select the cloud icon to start the installation.
    2. Once ID PROTECTION is successfully installed on your device, select Open.

    1. Swipe the screen to the left until you enter the last page, and then select Get started.

The Welcome to F-Secure ID PROTECTION page opens.

  1. Read the End User License Terms and select ACCEPT AND CONTINUE.
  2. When the Name new device window opens, enter the name of your device and select Continue.
  3. Do one of the following:
      • If this is your first ID PROTECTION installation, select I am new to ID PROTECTION:
        1. Create a strong master password.
        2. Repeat the master password to confirm it.
        3. If you want to use fingerprint to log in to ID PROTECTION, select Use Touch ID to log in. Note that before you can use your fingerprint to unlock the app, you first need to wp-signup.php your fingerprint. Consult the device user manual to find out how to take fingerprint recognition into use in your device.
        4. Select CREATE.

        Important: We strongly recommend that you create an F-Secure ID PROTECTION master password recovery code as soon as you have taken F-Secure ID PROTECTION into use. The recovery code is the only way for you to regain your F-Secure ID PROTECTION master password if you forget it.

    You have now installed ID PROTECTION on your device, and you can start monitoring your email addresses and entering your passwords and other credentials into ID PROTECTION.

      • If you already have ID PROTECTION on another device, select I have ID PROTECTION on another device:
        1. Open ID PROTECTION on the other device that already has the app installed and go to Connect devices. The Connect devices page opens, showing a sync code.
        2. On the new device, enter this code in the Enter sync code field and select CONNECT.
        3. Enter your current master password and select Confirm.

    From now on, your Vault data will be synchronized automatically between these two devices. If you want to connect more devices, repeat the above steps.
