In the F-Secure Elements EPP profiles, you can set how you want the product to handle the automatic updates.

The portal has the following options for setting up HTTP proxy connections:

  • Don’t use proxy
  • HTTP Proxy from System preferences
  • Use remotely managed HTTP proxy

Note: If you select this option, you need to specify the proxy address in the Remotely managed proxy address field.

You can set the in-house GUTS2 server addresses for the product to fetch updates from them. The product tries to download the updates first from the local server, if it is set up and available. If not, the product downloads updates from the global F-Secure server, if you have turned on the Fallback to global F-Secure updates server option. For each server, the product goes through the allowed HTTP proxies options in the following order: Use remotely managed HTTP proxyHTTP Proxy from System preferencesDon’t use proxy (direct connection without HTTP proxy).
