You see this error message after opening your Trend Micro program:

Protection Disabled

Why did this happen?

Your computer may have:

  • … conflicting software, potentially unwanted applications or malware installed on your computer.
  • … failed to download and install updates.

How do I fix this?

  1. Remove incompatible software and other potentially unwanted applications.
  2. Temporarily disable the program, then turn it back ON after 5 seconds.
  3. Check for program updates.
