Summary
At McAfee, we continually review and adjust our product portfolio to best meet the needs of our customers. For this reason, we have made the strategic decision to remove the following features in future updates of McAfee Mobile Security (MMS) for Android, and iOS:

  • Media Backup (on Android devices)
  • Back up Contacts (on Android, and iOS devices)

IMPORTANT: Because these features are being removed, you must take the following action to avoid the risk of data loss:

  • Download (export) your backed-up data from your McAfee Account to a secure location (such as your PC or Mac).

See TS103165 – Changes to McAfee Mobile Security (July – September 2021) for the dates that you need to take action by. Your backed-up data is at risk if you do not take action by the dates shown in the article.

Don’t worry, you can continue using McAfee Mobile Security even after the features shown are been removed.
