This topic describes how you can install F-Secure KEY on Windows computers.
This video tutorial shows you how to install F-Secure KEY on your Windows computer if you have an F-Secure TOTAL subscription.
Tip: This video has no voiceover. To turn on the subtitles for the video, click the Captions (CC) icon in the lower-right corner of the video screen. To select other language subtitles, if any, click the Settings icon, then select the preferred language.
To install KEY on a desktop or laptop device:

- Download the installation package from https://download.sp.f-secure.com/key/f-secure_key_win.msi.
- Save the downloaded file, find it from your Downloads folder and double-click it to start the installation.
The F-Secure KEY Setup wizard opens.

- Select Accept and continue to continue with the installation settings.
The Welcome to F-Secure KEY window opens.

- Select Get started.
- Do one of the following:

- If this is your first KEY installation, select Create Master Password:

- Create a strong master password.
- Repeat the master password to confirm it.
- Select Create Master Password.
- To save your recovery code, select Save recovery code.
This recovery code is the only way for you to access the KEY app if you forget your master password.

- If this is your first KEY installation, select Create Master Password:
You have now installed KEY on your computer, and you can start entering your passwords and other credentials into KEY.
- If you already have KEY on another device:
- Select Connect devices.
- Open KEY on the other device that already has the app installed and go to Connect devices. The Connect devices page opens, showing a sync code.
- On the new device, enter this code in the Enter sync code here field and select Connect devices.
- Enter your current master password and select OK.

The F-Secure KEY app opens.
You have now installed KEY on your device, and you can start entering your passwords and other credentials into KEY.
