31 December 2021.

Double-click the file and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Save the hbedv.key file from the path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Avira\Avira Exchange Security\License - If you also have to back up the quarantines, read this article.
- Uninstall the existing instance of Exchange Security via the Windows Control Panel. At the end of the uninstall process, checkmark the option “Remove all user and registration data”.
- Download the new Exchange Security installation kit.
- Install the downloaded kit.
- Copy the saved file to the corresponding path.
The directory structure of the new version 14 of Avira Exchange Security has changed.
The installation directory is located in the 64-bit directory i.e.
C:\Program Files\Avira\Avira Exchange Security\
You cannot migrate configdata.xml from Avira Exchange Security 12 to Avira Exchange Security 14.
