Disabling notifications on Mac (Sophos)

Applies to: Sophos Home Premium and Free (Mac)

You would like to turn off the pop-up notifications coming from Sophos Home but you cannot find where to disable it.

Cause

In the current version of Sophos Home, there is no way to disable pop-up notifications either in the Sophos Home software installed or in the Sophos Home dashboard.

Solution

As a workaround, you can turn off the system notifications on your Mac.

  1. Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences.1.png
  2. Click Notifications.2.png
  3. Select Sophos Home and untick all the options for the Sophos Home alert style on the right.mceclip0.png

Note: Sophos Home notifications regarding any detected threats will still pop-up.
