The “Error 1306. Another application has exclusive access to file [file path]” error may appear during installation of a Kaspersky application.

 

Solution

  1. Remove the Kaspersky application using the kavremover tool.
  2. Perform a clean boot of Windows. See the Microsoft support website for instructions.
  3. Try installing the Kaspersky application once again.
