The Internet Security extension helps you surf, search, and shop safely online on your Edge browser. It helps protect your device and your personal information from online scams, fraudulent websites and malicious links that install ransomware, trojans and other online threats. Based on the analysis, Internet Security provides safety ratings for websites, before you visit them.

When you search the Internet using the Edge browser, Norton displays safety rating icons next to the search results. The site rating icons help you know if a website is malicious or not before you visit it.

Set up Internet Security

  1. Start Norton.
  2. In the My Norton window, next to Internet Security, click Set Up.

You are redirected to the Microsoft Store to install the Internet Security extension for Edge browser.

  3. Click Get and install the Internet Security extension from Microsoft Store.
  4. When you receive a notification from Edge browser, select Turn it on.
  5. If you do not receive the notification, navigate to My Norton windowInternet Security and click Enable.

To stay safe while surfing using your Edge browser, NortonLifeLock recommends that you open your Edge browser from the Norton Security Protection or Norton Security On-the-Go app. Navigate to My Norton window > Internet Security and click Open.

Norton Security On-the-Go is currently available only in the U.S. The app will be available in other regions at a later date.
