The best practice Group Policy settings for authenticated scanning of Windows systems are described in this section.

Please consult your network administrator before making any changes to the Group Policy, as changes may have an adverse impact on your network operations, depending on your network configuration and security policy. Note that detailed documentation for many of the Group Policy settings listed below are available online when using the Group Policy Editor.

Important: We highly recommended that you discuss any potential changes to the Group Policy with your network administrator before implementing any alterations, as your local network configurations may depend on certain settings being in place. This service does not verify that these settings are appropriate for your network. If you do make any Group Policy changes, it may take several hours before the changes take effect on the client.

For more information, please refer to your Microsoft documentation on Group Policy deployment.

It is recommended that you create a dedicated Windows user account (such as “F-Secure Elements_Vulnerability_Management_account“) to be used solely by F-Secure Radar scan nodes.
