You can see the option to switch the update feed to “Beta” in the update section of many Emsisoft program’s settings. If this option is selected, you will get the latest beta files downloaded and installed on your PC instead of the regular, tested, and usually fully functional and ‘stable’ update feed.
Beta updates contain the latest developments before they are released as stable for all users. These updates have passed internal testing, but have not been tested thoroughly by our beta testers and may contain bugs. Therefore, we don’t recommend using the beta update feed on production or other high priority systems.
You can switch between beta and stable updates whenever you want. When the next online update occurs, all files that are different between the update feeds chosen will be replaced.
