Installing and activating the app on Android devices (F-Secure)

This information applies to you if you have a standalone version of the F-Secure FREEDOME product. If you have a subscription with F-Secure TOTAL, see article How do I install FREEDOME VPN (TOTAL) on my Android device?

1. 1. On your Android device, open Play Store, and search for F-Secure FREEDOME VPN.
   2. Select FREEDOME VPN.
   3. Select Install.

The app downloads and installs.

1. 1. Select Open.

When you install the app for the first time, the app goes through a short introduction.

1. Swipe the screen to the left until you get to the last page with the following options:
   • Start using Freedome
   • Redeem code
   • Log in
2. Select the activation method depending on what type of subscription you have.
   • • If you have a valid subscription code, do the following:
       1. Select Redeem code.
       2. Enter your code.
       3. Select Submit.

   • • If you have a subscription with your service provider, do the following:
       1. Select Log in.
       2. Select your account provider.
       3. Type in your credentials and select Log in.
       4. Give the device a name, and select Continue.
       5. Select OK.
       6. Select Accept.
       7. Choose your preferred network connection.

FREEDOME is ready to protect your privacy.

1. Select Start using FREEDOME.
2. Select Accept.
3. Choose your preferred network connection.
4. Select the main menu from the top-left of your screen and then select Subscription.
5. Select Subscription options.
6. Do one of the following:
   • Select FOR ALL DEVICES and then Buy from F-Secure Store to get protection for multiple computers, phones and tablets. Once you complete your purchase, you’ll receive a subscription code by email. Enter this code on each of your devices; OR
   • Select FOR ANDROID DEVICES and then the desired subscription period for an in-app purchase through the Play Store. A subscription from Google Play covers all your Android devices that use the same Google Play user account.
7. Go through the purchase process, then depending on the type of subscription, activate FREEDOME.
