To diagnose problems in operation of the following servers:

  • Exchange MDM: get the traces of its connector operation. For instructions, see below.
  • iOS MDM: get the traces of server operation as well as operation of server’s connector to Network Agent. For instructions, see below.
 

How to collect Exchange MDM traces

We recommend that you create a backup copy of the registry before editing its values.

  1. Download the archive Exchange_MDM_trace1.0.zip and extract the files from it. The archive contains files for enabling and disabling tracing.
  2. Enable tracing on the computer with the Exchange MDM server installed. To do so, run the following file from the archive:
    • exchange_mdmconn32_on.reg — for 32-bit operating systems
    • exchange_mdmconn64_on.reg — for 64-bit operating systems
  3. Reproduce the issue.
  4. Disable tracing. To do so, run the following file from the archive:
    • exchange_mdmconn32_off.reg — for 32-bit operating systems
    • exchange_mdmconn64_off.reg — for 64-bit operating systems

The trace file will be created in the Network Agent installation folder under the name “$klnagent-1103.log.

How to collect iOS MDM server traces

We recommend that you create a backup copy of the registry before editing its values.

  1. Download the archive iOS_MDM_trace1.3.2.zip and extract the files from it. The archive contains files for enabling and disabling tracing.
  2. Enable tracing on the computer with the iOS MDM server installed. To do so, run the following file from the archive:
    • iosmdmserver32_on.reg and iosmdmconn32_on.reg — for 32-bit systems
    • iosmdmserver64_on.reg и iosmdmconn64_on.reg — for 64-bit systems
  3. Restart the iOS MDM Mobile Devices server service.
  4. Reproduce the issue.
  5. Disable tracing. To do so, run the following file from the archive:
    • iosmdmserver32_off.reg and iosmdmconn32_off.reg — for 32-bit systems
    • iosmdmserver64_off.reg and iosmdmconn64_off.reg — for 64-bit systems

The trace file will be created:

  • For iOS MDM server: in the %ProgramData%\KasperskyLab\IOSMDM folder under the name klsrvlog.txt
  • For the server’s connector to Network Agent: in the Network Agent installation folder under the name “$klnagent-1103.log.
