Generating recordings with Burp Proxy (F-Secure)

Burp Proxy is an intercepting proxy server for security testing of web applications.

    1. Download Burp Suite (Free Edition) and run it.

If you are not familiar with the tool, read the Getting started with Burp Suite guide.

  1. Record the target application.
  2. Save the data to an XML file:
    1. Go to the Proxy > History tab.
    2. Select the requests from the list and right-click them.
    3. Select Save items.
    4. Store the file, for example as recording.xml.
