We will onboard an initial set of customers and partners in the coming weeks and will expand the preview leading up to general availability. You don’t have to have a Microsoft 365 subscription to buy and use Microsoft Defender for Business (preview). Microsoft Defender for Business (preview) is a standalone security solution for small and medium-sized businesses. If you do already have another subscription (such as Microsoft 365 Business Basic or Standard), consider adding Microsoft Defender for Business to get additional threat protection capabilities.
