If you have deleted your Norton Family account or if you no longer want to monitor activities on a device, you can uninstall it from your device.

Depending on your device, select one of the following:

I have a Windows PC

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
  2. In the Run dialog box, type in the following text, and then press Enter:

    appwiz.cpl

  3. In the list of currently installed programs, click Norton Family, and then click Remove or Uninstall.
  4. Click Yes to confirm.
  5. In the Norton Family window, type your parent email address and password, and click OK.
  6. Click Next.
  7. When the uninstall finishes, exit all programs and restart the computer.

I have an Android device

These steps are general and may differ depending on the version of the Android OS.

  1. From the Home screen, go to Settings.
  2. Under Personal, tap Security, and then tap Device administrators.
  3. Next to Norton Family, uncheck the check box.
  4. In the Device Administration screen, tap Deactivate.
  5. In the Norton Family screen, type parent email address and password, and tap OK.
  6. From the Home screen, go to Settings.
  7. Depending on the version of Android OS, go to Apps or Application or Applications Manager to view the list of installed apps.
  8. From the list of apps, tap Norton Family.
  9. Tap Uninstall.
  10. Tap OK to confirm.
  11. When the uninstall finishes, tap OK .

I have an iPhone or iPad

  1. On the Home screen, tap and hold on the Norton Family icon until it jiggles.
  2. In the top-left corner of the app icon, tap X.
  3. Tap Delete to confirm.

Norton Family is now uninstalled from your device. Ensure that you have also remove the device from your Norton Family account. For more information, read Remove or rename a device from your Norton Family account.
